Slowly, but surely
My savings plan for 2011 has begun. Tuesday I got the email confirming what will be my weekly transfers into my designated savings account. I almost thought I did it wrong. WHY? I don't know, I've set up plenty of inter/intra bank ACH transfers in my day, but this one made me nervous. Now I can breathe easy, I guess 30 and a half (yes, I went there) isn't too late to get my monetary life right, should have done it at 27 when I got my new job. Oh well what wasn't done is done and I choose now to get on track.

New year, same me
Another year, another dollar. That's what it's all about!
Might as well make this the year I stick to my resolution-Save money and repair my credit. Well, after my trip to Puerto Rico I will...
My whole super savings strategy started when I decided I was going to the St Lucia Jazz Fest back in October/November. I put in place a 3 month plan for January to March, it was lofty, but do-able. Since I knew I could pay for an international week of bliss in 3 months, I could stretch that over a year and go in 2012. (plus I won't need a passport to go to Puerto Rico, I can use that $160 towards my ticket)
I spent the majority of December creating and tweaking my budget and savings plan for the 1st six months of the year. I finally opened a Christmas Club account so from this year on Christmas shopping won't take place the 3 days before the big day! Luckily for me the majority of my savings will come from my tax return...I love EIC! As for that credit thing....little by little will get chopped away. I'm praying for the lottery so I can pay off creditors, Sallie Mae and move, but I will never be so lucky. This first month will be the hardest, but I know if I can survive January, February thru June will be a breeze.
I wanted to relocate, butI might put it off for a year, I need to gauge my current employers situation. I have even budgeted my relocation costs. Movers, credit check, security deposits-apartment & utilities, new furniture, cost of changing the plates/title on my car, just about everything...I put my little brain to work.Neev knows what she needs to move, give or take a thousand -LOL-
Now I'm off into savings oblivion so I can watch these zero balances grow to thousands....
